Unofficial competition by the sea, close to the place where On June 14th, 1929, the French aircraft "Oiseau Canari" (Yellow Bird - El Pájaro Amarillo) made a legendary emergency landing on Oyambre Beach in Cantabria, Spain, after completely running out of fuel. This flight completed the first successful French aerial crossing of the North Atlantic Ocean.
